One year ago today, I started blogging with this post on Tripod.com. It's been a fun experience and I hope to be able to keep sharing my thoughts on items of interest to me (and I trust others also).

Not Much Blogging

Time constraints have limited my blogging the last couple of weeks. I'm taking a class, teaching a class and volunteering for the Republican party these last few days. I still found time to vote. They had about eight to ten booths set up and a small line of people waiting to vote. The ballot was short--it's a Republican county and many local offices had no Democratic opposition.

I noticed a stack of probably 200-300 applications for registration. Another pile of 40-50 had a sticky note attached that read "problem pile."

I will be manning phones on Monday and will be a poll checker on Tuesday morning. I want to blog my experiences but won't be able to do it live.

This is my 200th post since starting this blog in November of last year. Interest in bloggers is increasing. Bloggers are being interviewed on news programs. And everyone has heard the part bloggers have played in Memogate. Main stream media is joining in by having their own blogs.

Sigh. I take a vacation and President Bush visits the area. Oh, well. I'm sure he'll be back.

Had a wonderful time visiting family in Ohio, Tennessee and South Carolina. Now it's catch-up time :)

I start to make an entry tonight and Lo! and Behold! Lots of new stuff shows up. It's playtime!

I've now got moods, topics, a Now Playing, and a tool bar that includes spell-checking. Plus there are buttons for adding pictures, audio and video. And a button for adding a link, bold, italics and underline made easy. :)

I can also make a link public, share it with friends or keep it private and date the post manually. Thanks Tripod!

UPDATE: I have a buddy page where my buddies blogs are shown with their latest post. The topics are shown on the right side of the blog. Now you can click and find out what I've written on a particular subject. All I have to do now is assign topics to the 117 un-topiced posts. :)

One hundreth post

This is post number 100. Most people who know me would be surprised that I have so much to say. To be truthful, many posts have been about what others have said, but I've enjoyed doing this and will continue to do so.
